The word meditation carries different meanings in different contexts. Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness.

Frithjof Schoun in his book Station of Wisdom said, meditation is another mode of prayer.

The contact between man and God here becomes one between intelligence and Truth. In meditation the aim is knowledge, hence a reality in principle goes beyond the ego, man and God at the same time, pure intelligence being the point of intersection human reason and divine Intellect. Meditation acts on the one hand intelligence, in which “awaken” substantial memories with the help of God.

Since the aim of meditation is Real knowledge trough “awakening”, it is not experience we are looking for. Correct attitude toward meditation is essential.

We should cultivate our humility, openness, gratitude toward God since it is only Him who has revealed Himself.
